Is the program that used Shazam ver the web? R do you download the program?ĭid it say somewhere the data is not stored locally? It is a cd install so it is client based which would imply data is client stored. If data is not stored locally I cannot support ths model. I can't imagine manually downloading 50+ different financial accounts into a spreadsheet or some other model In spite of its bugs and quirks, the convenience I get from Quicken saves me a lot of time. If the subscription model gives them a better chance of long term sustainability I will support it. People seem to think they should expect all world 24/7 service and outstanding functionality on a piece of software historically they've only spent $40-$75 on every 2 to 3 years. My expectations have always been fairly modest with Quicken. I used support several times and found it quite helpful. I never used Microsoft support until I got Office 365. I hope the subscription model gets us better support. Neither have I, but that is because I know I wouldn't get anywhere. I don't think I have ever contacted quicken customer support.ever. The only thing that looked interesting on the Premier was the morningstar portfolio zoom, but I actually use morningstar, so I could get that info directly from morningstar. On the occasional instance where I am having an issue a simple google will usually get me the answer in a quicken user forum. I rarely use bill pay, and when I do I use my bank.

Thanks for finding that! The only additions in Priemier are: "Pay your bills in Quicken for free using Quicken Bill Pay," "NEW Priority access to customer support." Just now Staples has the 2yr for Deluxe at $64.99 until Nov. So I assume prior versions continue to work as they used to? I have 2016, would it be worth getting 2017 to delay going to the subscription model? I don't see any of the additional features of premier or home/business that I currently use. Looking at the details, I really don't think I need any more than the deluxe. That's probably about what I pay for the software now, and usually keep it around 2 years before upgrading. Starter is $49 for a two-year subscription. The Deluxe version is discounted to $65 for a 2-year subscription at Staples also. Staples is offering it in download form as well. I found the price of $100 for a 2-year subscription to the Premier version from Staples a little easier to stomach. I posted this in the other Quicken thread, but some may find it helpful here as well.
